The Pix N Stix

Below is a showreel video we recently filmed and produced for a Cardiff function / wedding band The Pix N Stix.

We have been approached by the band with the task of creating a promo video that showcases highlights of their repertoire and provides potential clients with a glimpse into their live performances.

Unlike a typical music video, where the footage is normally synced to a pre-recorded song, here we were asked not only to film their performance but also capture live audio, which required careful planning and had to be done in a timely manner.

The filming took place at Musicbox Studios in Cardiff, where we set up all necessary lighting, camera and audio equipment.

We began by capturing the sound, using a multichannel audio interface to simultaneously record individual instruments and microphones directly into a laptop running music production software.

We then filmed the performances from multiple angles to create a visually interesting and dynamic showreel.

During the post-production stage, we utilised our expertise in audio and music production to mix and master the captured recordings, resulting in a mini-mix that served as the foundation of the final video.

It was a pleasure working with The Pix N Stix and we are delighted with the final showreel.
